Depending on the standard the halls of residence are offered in several different categories,. Category I is the most basic standard, category VI the highest.

Note: When booking accommodation in F+U residences described here, we reserve the right to offer diferent accommodation of the same category depending on availability.


Hall of residence “Concordia”, category I
From the residence it is approx. 10 minutes by tram or bus to the school. The bus stop is approx. 200 metres away from the residence. The rooms (approx 15 m²) are functionally furnished with bed, desk, chair and cupboard. Washing machines are available. On each floor of the residence there is a kitchen and shower room with WCs. Some rooms can be used as double rooms (furnished with bunk bed). There is a large, free private car park.  WLAN is available free of charge.

Hall of residence “Schmitt”, category II
From this hall of residence in the Heidelberg district of Kirchheim it takes approximately 20 minutes by public transport to the school.  The bus stop is only a few metres from the halls.  The rooms (12-16 m2) are fully furnished with bed, desk, chair, cupboard, shelves, wash basin and fridge. The showers and toilets are shared.  A fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and free WLAN are also available to residents.  

Shared apartment “Viktoria”, category II
Learners can choose between a single and double room (18 m² to 25 m²). All rooms are fully furnished with wardrobe, desk, and single or double bed.  Two spacious kitchens are located on the first and third floors.  On each floor there is a WC and shower. Washing machines are available.  The apartment can be reached from the school in approx. 20 minutes by tram or bus and the stop is just a few metres from the building.  The apartment is 400 metres from the Heidelberg vineyards.  WLAN is available free of charge.  

Hall of residence “Schmitt”, category III 
From the residence in the Heidelberg district of Kirchheim it is approximately 20 minutes by public transport to the school.  The bus stop is just a few metres from the residence.  The rooms (12-16 m2) are fully furnished with bed, desk, chair, cupboard, shelves, wash basin and fridge. Each room also has its own shower; the WCs are shared.  A fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and free WLAN are available to residents.  

Hall of residence “Turner”, category III
From the residence it takes 15 minutes by tram or bus to the school.  The stop is just a few metres away from the residence, and it is only 500 metres to the Heidelberg vineyards.  The rooms (approx. 15 m²) are furnished with bed, desk, chair and cupboard; the shower and WC are in the room. Some rooms can be used as double rooms (furnished with bunk bed).  There is a large laundry room with washing machine and dryer, and a large, fully equipped kitchen on each floor.  WLAN is available free of charge

 

Shared apartment “Bergheim”, category IV
The apartment is situated on Bismarckplatz, opposite the school. The rooms (15-20 m²) are fully furnished. The apartment is equipped with a kitchen, WC, shower and a washing machine.  All rooms can be used as a double room, some with bunk bed.  WLAN is available free of charge.

Shared apartment “Rohrbach 16”, category IV
The apartment is approximately five minutes by foot from the school and the Old Town.  It contains 3 and 4-room flats, with single occupancy rooms. Residents share the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with WC.  Although there is no washing machine, a large launderette is located in the immediate vicinity of the apartment.  The rooms (approx. 17 m²) are furnished with single bed, desk, chair and cupboard.  In some rooms there is a cable connection for TV.  WLAN is free of charge.


Shared apartment “Sophie”, category IV

The apartment is located in the Heidelberg Old Town, in the immediate vicinity of the school.  The rooms (15-25 m²) are fully furnished; two rooms have an adjoining balcony, offering an attractive view of the south of Heidelberg.  The apartment is equipped with a small kitchen, WC, shower and washing machine.  All rooms can be used as a double room, some with bunk bed.  WLAN is available free of charge. 


Hall of residence “März”, category V
(scheduled availability from June 2011)
The four-floor new building is located in the Heidelberg Old Town and is approximately just five minutes’ walk from the language school.  The rooms (11-18 m2) are furnished with desk and single or double beds (bunks).  Rooms (step-free) suitable for residents with disabilities are available.  Each room has a kitchenette as well as bathroom with WC and shower.  A washing machine and free WLAN are also available.

Shared apartment “Apo”, category VI
The apartment is situated in the heart of the Heidelberg Old Town, 200 metres to the Old Bridge.  It takes around 15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by bus to the school.  The apartment consists of a number of bedrooms (20-30 m²), a large shared living room with TV, kitchen, bathroom with whirlpool and WC.  The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, dishwasher, electric cooker and coffee machine. WLAN is available free of charge.
